Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse is one of the best animated Spider-man movies in 2018. If you have not watched it yet, you are missing out on a great story.
If you are waiting for Spider-man: No Way Home to hit streaming platforms, you can watch this classic on Netflix. Spider-verse is an animated movie by Sony Pictures that is different from the MCU timeline. It follows the story of Miles Morales, who becomes Spider-man after the death of Peter Parker.
After his transformation, he learns from five other versions of Spider-man from other universes.
Currently, Spider-verse is available on Netflix, but only in a few regions like Turkey, and Canada. Don’t worry, if you are outside these regions, we will show you how you can still watch Spider-verse on Netflix from anywhere.
Why You Need a VPN to Watch Spider-verse on Netflix from Anywhere
The reason why you require a VPN app to watch Spider-verse on Netflix from anywhere is that the movie is only available in a few regions only. Currently, you can watch Spider-verse on Netflix in Canada and Turkey. Fans outside these regions will not be able to find Spider-verse on their Netflix libraries.
So, to watch the movie online, you need to access the Turkish or Canadian version of Netflix. To do so, you will need a VPN.
A virtual private network allows you to connect to a server from Turkey or other countries, thus allowing you to access the Turkish Netflix where Spider-verse is available to stream.
To access the movie online, I connected to a Turkey server. When I visited Netflix, the VPN tricked the streaming platform into thinking I was accessing it from Turkey, thus allowing me access to the Turkish Netflix library from abroad.
Is it legal to unblock Netflix with a VPN?
Absolutely! It is legal to unblock Netflix using a VPN. You can use a VPN app to change your Netflix library and unblock the Netflix content of a different country that is not available in your region.
It goes against Netflix’s terms and conditions, but it is not considered an illegal act. If you visit Netflix’s help center you can see that Netflix says:
“Netflix allows watching TV shows and movies through a VPN, but VPN, proxy, or unblocker apps and services might cause problems or change which TV shows and movies are available to watch.”
As you can see, there is nothing wrong with using a VPN for watching Netflix, and it is considered fully legal. With a VPN, you can even unblock other popular geo-restricted streaming services such as Hulu (only available in US), HBO Max (only available in US), BBC iPlayer (only available in the UK), and plenty more.
